Glamour in Smoking

Glamour in Smoking

By David Smith July 20, 2004

It’s nice at a donut shop to sit inside

The smell of fresh pastry

Don’t let it hide

But out on the patio the smell of smoke

Nicotine and tobacco makes me choke

Now to walk by shops around town

Butts on the sidewalk I have found

It’s easy to say our province is smoke free

Smoking around hospitals worries me

If health care workers in white coats can smoke

Swarming at entrances of emergency’s no joke

If smoking is harmful as scientists claim

That is parents and teenagers’ fame

The pop stars on “Much Music” the beauty the youth

Put cigarette sales right though the roof

Discouraging the smoker puts controversy to the test

Learning to make smoke rings

Youth try their best
