Our Children at Stake

Our Children at Stake

By David Smith June 14, 2009

Want to go back to a simpler time;

When people were trusting and freedom was fine.

To ride bikes to school, not worry about locks.

And students strolled with freedom to talk.

Where exercise was grand and everyone took part.

Afraid now to exercise cause they might ruin their heart.

To be driven to school; so they won’t have to sweat.

And driven home in heavy traffic yet.

O a simpler time where children played and sang.

Now passive entertainment; the television in its prime.

To change opinion of the masses; new patterns take shape.

To lead with effectiveness, our children’s at stake.
