Reflection in a Pop Bottle
Examine the Fear
By David Smith October 14, 2009
The mirror image, in a pop bottle, so vivid and clear;
Like it’s inside the bottle; the light does appear.
Twisting the bottle around and around;
The mirror image; inside and sound;
Removing the cap, the light will not leave.
Twisting the bottle to the allusion, I cleave.
Fascinated by the light; it appears so real.
Only an image; something practical to feel.
Capitalize on the allusion to reflect and to see;
Inside the bottle how fear affects me.
Only an allusion, so look at the source;
The light on the ceiling where practicality is on course.
That is the joy of how things appear.
Only a reflection; examine the fear.
