Delivered with Passion
By David Smith November 13, 2009
A poet falls in love with his audience so grand.
As he reads his poetry and takes his stand;
The words that flow in rhythm and beat;
And the applause, the affection, so romantically sweet;
The applause, like a kiss, as it caresses his heart;
The flowing of emotion as he pronounces clear and sharp.
The joy of the applause as the audience is engaged;
As he picks up his poems and reads another page.
His time comes to an end.
The surrender of the mike
A memorable end;
The closure that night.
