The Fascinating Duck

The Fascinating Duck

By David Smith June 20, 2008

That duck is fascinating as it waddles through the neighbourhood

Picks up bugs and insects

A proper guest so he should

Dogs and cats leave him alone

Centre of attention on a stroll he does roam

Kids love him

He’s the centre of communication

Others are jealous with no real imagination

Probably made it on borrowed time

Adds spice to life in this neighbourhood of mine

Neighbours mention streets of where he’s been seen

Like the littlest hobo a character he has been

He’s only a duck

But how he stimulates the mind

God’s creation for the love of mankind.
