Breakfast at the Regal

Breakfast at the Regal

By David Smith December 12, 2009

The warm feeling of bacon and eggs;

The toast, and the jam; the flavor that begs;

To start a Saturday at the market in the cold;

The vendors are few and the weather is bold.

In at the Regal; the only place on Main;

A satisfying breakfast to everyone’s gain;

The sun makes its appearance

The breath it is seen

A taste of winter; but not like the past had been.

The Regal; the memories, nostalgia on the wall;

To satisfy a hunger; when nature would call;

Think of the past, the good times of old.

Listen to the stories.

Now new ones are told.
