It’s Not the Coffee
By David Smith September 28, 2010
It’s not the coffee that tastes so fine;
It’s the company, to socialise, that is the prime.
It’s the social lubricant to open up the book.
As we share ideas to improve our outlook;
And one word can expose the thought;
Capture the joy, the knowledge we got.
It’s the taste in society
As thoughts and ideas blend in harmony.
It’s not the coffee; it’s you and me.
Ideas to share with possibility;
We blame it on the coffee as flavour would steep.
Though the hot water, the maturity we keep.
What happens to coffee happens to us;
It’s how we blend that means so much.
