Nature’s Fading Symphony

Nature’s Fading Symphony

By David Smith May 29, 2011

The rustling of the leaves like an orchestra on high;

The waves of the winds as branches sway on bye;

The sights and sounds of a natural wild;

Reminisce of youth when I was a child;

Joys of the cottage, whippoorwill sounds fill the air;

The bullfrogs that croak part of the symphony to compare;

The wolfs in the wilderness, that lone shivering howl

Wonderment of nature, the birds of fowl

The honking of geese and the billow from a cow

Sounds of nature not quite like that now

The rustling of the leaves, the silence is sad

To think of the sounds our grandparents once had.
