Hair Falls Like Snow

At the Barber

David Smith August 6, 2011

A young man in an old body I saw today

The mirror in the shop while the barber’s at play

White hair falls like snow as it tumbles off the cuff

The face in the mirror looks rather rough

How age hits the eyes and wrinkles all around

The lack of maturity, childlikeness I have found

Don’t lose the innocence a gaiety of speech

Joys of life, grandchildren, they too can teach

Looking at the mirror and the childlikeness within

A contrast is found an attitude to begin
