Taste Releases Memory

Taste Releases Memory

By David Smith August 5, 2011

To open a Coke, a cold one to taste

Memories of childhood, flip back in haste

Think of the summers in the Valley so hot

In my Grandmother’s store, the vision I’ve got

People come in, and they shoot the breeze

It’s more than small talk, conversation of ease

That’s so important the gestures and care

And pooling our knowledge; the gold that we share.

So open a coke a, cold one to taste

Flavours of life

Don’t let it go to waste
