Click of the Rail

Click of the Rail

By David Smith August 22, 2011

Listen to the rhythm of the click of the rail;

As the train slows down the rhythm gets rather pale;

There is a haunting roar as box cars sway on by;

The wigwags and the bell keep the train on the fly;

Feel the enthusiasm as the cars come to a close;

The audience starts their engines and over the tracks time goes.

Now we’re on the move

The tracks are rather rough

Minor delays in life don’t need to be so tough

Sit back and smell the aroma, the flavour of living life

Savour the fleeting moment, will eliminate words of strife.
