Only One Degree

Only One Degree

By David Smith February 24, 2012

Only one degree is all it took

Rain or snow, the clouds that shook

And that degree hovering around freezing point it twas

O the melting point of snow made quite the weather buzz

Rain came down in buckets as shovels rust in peace

And no need for snow tires as the storm had its release

We cannot blame the weatherman as predictions went astray

But that one degree of warmth made puddles where we play

An so to think of temperature where water changes state

To predict a snowstorm, a fortune teller’s fate
