Bullets to Words
By David Smith December 20, 2012
The right to bear arms compares to freedom of speech
Bullets to words, a comparison to teach
The power of the pulpit, the microphone so clear
Power of persuasion, let the right word appear.
That is more powerful than a loaded gun
To change the thought pattern,
Even in words that are sung.
The right to bear arms verses opportunity to be heard
More value than weapons where killing is absurd
So tailor make a speech to fit the audience well
The persuasion with the microphone,
Power to tell.
To turn bullets to words and be grammatically correct
Choose our words carefully for serious affect.
That is the power
To get guns off the street
Sharing of ideas
Victory at our feet.
