Mental Health an Issue
By David Smith May 30, 2013
He sleeps on the street in front of a shop
The police turn a blind eye with the funding they got
Mental health is an issue
And how we can cope
We use our humour to loosen the rope
That solves the tension to deny and press on
And the issues are there in violence and song
Humour not the cure
But, puts a smile on the face
Not mental illness but cutbacks the disgrace
He sleeps on the street
It can be me
That is the fear
Lack of funding I see.
