To walk into her room as she peacefully sleeps;
At rest with her pain, as I quietly creep;
To know she is healing, a process that’s slow;
Love and determination gives life a glow.
Letting her sleep, more value to me;
Than keep her a wake, where tension may be;
And so she rests, and, knows, I am there;
At least she knows how much I care.
