Reminiscing in Pounding Rain

Reminiscing in Pounding Rain
By David Smith July 30, 2014

Raining so hard I can hardly see
The heavy pounding rain near deafens me
Flashes of lightening and thunderous roars
To reflect on life; unbearable to do chores

Think back to the poetry
The lone whistle cry
As the train chugged into the States bye and bye

Windows fogging up pitter-patter on the roof
Sixteen years of flashback to take off the Commissionaire suit
Sad to leave, a lot to miss
People the resource the adventure so bliss

Where from here as life turns us around
Shapes us and moulds us
We bloom where we are found.
Raining so hard I can hardly see
It’s the inner thoughts that reflect what we be
