In Appreciation of High School Reunion

High School reunion as anticipation draws near;
All from Facebook; it started so clear.
And it snowballs as closing date came
For the reunion; our youth, our past to reclaim.
Meeting the teacher; and see how they age;
And not realized how we turn each page.
Reminiscing of the past; like nothing in between.
Thinking of life; experiences we have seen.
High school was a chore
To face each agonizing day.
To prepare us for life. A foundation under way.
And seeing the youth as they study with hope.
To become as a child and grasp as we cope.
Reflection of the past. As we forward advance.
Life to be lived.
Preparation not by chance.
